Want to lose weight? That’s okay here.

I know this is kinda controversial in the current climate (at least in my world) but I gotta speak up and let you know...⁣

It is okay if you want to lose weight.

Lately, I’ve had a run of clients who hesitate to say that weight loss is part of their desired goals. They might kind of quietly mention it and / or say something along the lines of ‘I know I shouldn’t but...’ And I don’t think that’s right.⁣ I have created a safe space for everyone to share whatever it is they want. ⁣

Don’t get me wrong, I’m really super glad that movements like Health at Every Size, Body Positivity and F*ck Diet Culture exist. Every human deserves to feel accepted and be treated with respect no matter what body they are in. I’ve got a whole lot of admiration and appreciation for these movements and the work that they do to fight discrimination. I’ve even got certifications with some of them. ⁣

AND I still wanna say that it’s okay if you have a desire to change the way you eat / move / live in order to shift your shape to something that feels good and right to you. ⁣

I want you to know I’m definitely not recommending you jump back on the diet train here. I’m a firm believer that anything that comes from restriction or punishment is not going to spark joy. A goal derived from fear will NOT do. ⁣

Experiments where you play and love and lift yourself into YOUR best version of you is what I’m advocating for. Your goals should feel nourishing, be possible and make you vibrate with joy.

I absolutely know that if you are reading this then you are deserving of love and can be confident no matter what shape your body is but only you know what is right for you and your body. NO ONE outside of you can tell you that. ⁣

If you wanna do an experiment with your body to see if you’ll feel better, IT’S UP TO YOU. Just make sure you are paying attention as the results come in. ⁣

Whatever makes you feel your most vibrant and alive is fine by me. ⁣If you want a coach that truly believes in your goals with no agenda of my own. Reach out. You can message me anytime here.

Shared with love,⁣
